Shortlands
Road

Design and Build

Shortlands Road is a small extension with a big effect. Built by MyExtension, it has glass doors that open at the corner, so the whole back of the house opens up and the living room carries straight out into the garden. The owner is a photographer, and she features throughout.

The approach

We followed the owner as she uses the space: opening the doors, moving from the table to the garden, sitting out under the parasol. Some frames look out from inside. Others look back in from the garden. Together they show one room that runs from the sofa to the lawn.
